This instrument is constructed after the same model as our Scientific No. 1, but is of finer finish and has the brass base and arm finely lacquered instead of japanned. Both of these microscopes have the Society Screw and broad Butterfield Guage [sic]. The coarse movement is made with rack and pinion, the fine with milled head screw. It is furnished in a handsome mahogany case, with lock and drawer for objectives and eye-pieces.
