Dr. George Leininger's formaldehyde generator
Made in several sizes, the example on the left is a No. 3 Room Disinfector. Patented in 1909, the device vaporizes sold paraformaldehyde. Leininger assigned his patent to the International Chemical Co. of Chicago. The body of the generator houses a lamp positioned under a round bottomed formalin receptacle in which paraformaldehyde is heated.
