All bloodletting, cupping, and vaccinator patents through 1900Beginning with George Tiemann's 1834 scarificator, Dodd's cupping device of 1844, Jacob Gemrig's spring lancet and Tiemann's unique long handled scarificator, both of 1846. A variety of artificial leeches are included, as well as James Gordon's two patents of 1857 for both a spring action vaccinator and a spring lancet. Even several electrical treatment attachments for cupping devices and a breast/penis enlarger round out this fascinating assortment of instruments. Many of the patents represent items known today and much sought after by collectors.
