Arranged diatom slide by Möller
A geometrical arrangement of 93 diatoms by J.D. Möller, Wedel in Holstein, credited with the first commercial production of these fascinating slides. The 3" slide has the typical red "J.D. Möller, Wedel, Holstein" label with a small seller's label on top reading "Jas W. Queen, 924 Chestnut St., Philadelphia". Ca. 1870's or possibly 1880's.
See The 1877 Microscopical Soiree for mention of Möller's diatom slides.
