Dental foot bellows
Used primarily with a blow pipe or melting furnace, this foot bellows was offered in 19th C. catalogs of Bulloch & Crenshaw, Buffalo Dental Co., and Standard Scientific Co. as "Fletcher's foot bellows". A rubber bladder on top of the bellows serves to equalize the pressure between strokes. It is contained in a net to prevent overinflation. The leather bellows is intact, but the rubber bladder has hardened with age.
