Dietzgen Wye Level
Marked “Eugene Dietzgen Co., Chicago & N.Y., 856”. The small instrument dates to approx. 1904. All brass construction, with black finished 11 1/2” (min) telescope and wye bar and bright brass knobs and leveling screws. The 4” diameter horizontal circle is graduated to 1 degree and read by vernier to 5 min. The brass circle has lost its silvering. The instrument is in good working condition, including the cross hairs, telescope focus and bubble level. There is a good bit of brassing, but the instrument has never met the mad polisher’s buffing wheel. Included are a triangular brass trivet with 3 steel points, plumb bob, 2 tools, sun shade and lens cap and box with lock and key, all in very good condition
