Surveyor's Flexible Pocket Rod
A heavy coated fabric tape with major numbers in red and minor numbers in black. 10 ft long, 3 3/16" wide, divided into feet, 10ths, and 100ths. The black enameled tin storage cylinder is marked on the bottom, "Dietzgen 5950". In fine condition, and the tape is still flexible. In use, the tape was tacked to a long board. While the flexible rod was easily carried in the pocket, compared to a cumbersome folding rod, one had to assume that a long, straight board would always be handy when the rod was needed.
