Pike No. 15 Velocipede Grinder
A wood framed foot pedal grinder with an attractive cast iron “tulip” seat, listed in Sike’s red seat book. The seat is adjustable by moving its bolt to other holes in the frame. Two wheels are fitted, one a more modern carborundum. One of the iron pedals is a replacement, and there is no tool holder, otherwise complete and in good condition. Traces of green paint remain on the iron gearbox and under the seat. The only marking, on the grinder, is “Pike No. 15”. The seat is in very fine condition, since, unlike implement seats, it was not used outside.
