P.P. Mast cast iron match box
A 4" long cast iron box with single hinged lid marked "P.P. MAST & CO. DRILLS AND CULTIVATORS SPRINGFIELD OHIO". Original, no damage, some green paint remaining. The P.P. Mast company was established in 1854. Their "Buckeye" drills and seeders as well as their walking cultivators and other implements played an important role in the development of American farm machinery. The company merged with others in 1903, to become the American Seeding Machine Co., which later was absorbed by Oliver.
