5x7 Photographic Enlarger

A large diffusion enlarger for film negatives and glass plates up to 5x7 inches. Under the flat black paint is olive drab, suggesting a military origin. The hinged column tilts 90 degrees for horizontal projection. A revolving turret filter housing has seven openings for 2" diameter filters, only one of which has an amber safety filter. The four negative carriers are 5x7, 4x5, 3 1/4 x 4 1/4, and 35mm. For film negatives, glass covers will be needed for these carriers. The lens is a 9" (230mm) Series V.B. Cooke process anastigmat f/8. The lens and iris diaphragm are in fine condition. The lens is mounted on a heavy brass flange on a homemade lensboard. Also included is a 135mm Astron f/4.5 lens mounted on a 6x6 metal board for a view camera.
At maximum extension, the enlarger is 57" high. This is no lightweight for a closet darkroom. However, it is rock steady and will handle up to 5x7 negatives. The bellows is in fine condition.
