Deering New Ideal 6 ft Grain Binder

This machine has worked well for harvesting a couple acres of wheat or rye each year, except for needing all new canvasses. The knotter has been trouble free. I believe IHC retired the New Ideal brand in 1918. There is virtually no trace of paint left on the metal, but the harvester has been kept in the barn and has aged gracefully. The tongue has been converted for tractor use. An operator must still ride on the binder to operate it's controls and release the bundle carrier, if desired. This 6 foot machine is the smallest of three sizes offered by Deering in the mid-teens. The stub axle transport wheels are included (in case you have some narrow gates or trailer.
