Hubbard Universal Planetarium

A chain driven model demonstrating the seasonal movement of the earth's axis. All other movements of the earth and moon are made manually. The 4" globe is fitted with a blue plastic hemispheric shield that can be rotated around the earth. The moon also rotates and revolves around the earth. The 6" diameter sun is mounted on a weighted plastic stand, the base of which has a printed calendar with the date of each equinox and solstice indicated. Everything turns freely and there are no breaks or cracks. The base is marked "Universal Planetarium, T.N. Hubbard Scientific Co., Northbrook, Illinois".
