Wooden frame 3 strand rope maker
A heavy duty iron geared 3 strand rope machine. The 4 iron shafts are nicely fitted in a 6" x 6" by 8" hardwood frame. Each shaft has an identical gear near the center of its length, giving a 1 to 1 ratio of the 3 hooks to the forged iron crank. The gearing turns smoothly and the wood frame is solid despite several age cracks. This doesn't appear to be a one of a kind home made machine, as are most of the wooden frame winders.
