James W. Queen's Universal Household Microscope
The small microscope has a lacquered brass main and draw tube, with cast iron base, stage, and limb. The claw-footed base retains its green and gold enamel. Min. 7 1/4" high. The walnut box includes a second objective and a small glass slide with green paper labels. Billings dates this instrument c. 1875 (fig 431). Both the microscope and box are in fine condition.
