Dole's Hub Borer

The top of the scroll chuck is marked “Dole’s Patent July 25, 1854, Manufactured only by Dole & Silver, Col’a (Columbiana) Co, Ohio”. The three jaw universal scroll chuck measures 10” in diameter. A gauge collar with set screw determines the depth of bore and automatically disengages the screw feed when it reaches and presses on the feed nut.

The head is broken off one set screw in a jaw of the chuck. The set screws keep the hub from slipping in the chuck. Otherwise complete and in working order.
