Edmund Wheeler Microscope slides
A group of 6 slides for the microscope by Edmund Wheeler. The backs are covered with yellow paper and the front with gilt red paper with the "EW" logo. A small circular seller's label on the slides reads "J.W. Queen & Co., 924 Chesnut St., Philada". Specimens include section of eyelash of whale; radial section of Staffordshire coal; granular copper ore for binocular and Lieberkuhn; North Atlantic soundings from 2 miles deep, 1866; Himalaya cedar.
