Dr Draper's Hygrograph

A recording hair hygrometer. Cast in the iron front plate is "Draper's Self-Recording Hygrometer, Pat Appld For, The Draper Mfg Co., NY". The instrument is 20" high, with an 11" chart recording 7 days and 0 to 100 pct humidity. Perforated copper sides are provided for air circulation. The recorder can be either placed on a table or hung on the wall.

The multiple strands of hair need to be replaced. The hair present appears to be horsehair, but human hair may have been used originally. The length of hair required is about 18" to 20". Also, the seven day key wind clock does not run continuously. The flat glass in the copper door is missing, but better replaced after the UPS shipping. One used chart is included.
