Bookbinder's Sewing Frame

An early bookbinder's sewing frame with 6 pairs of brass clamps mounted on brass slides on both the base and the upper arm. The clamps are adjustable, moving to any position along the bar.

The screw threads have numerous chips, but the nuts turn smoothly for the entire length. One of the posts has lost the threads on it's lower end where it attaches to the base and needs to be glued in place. I haven't done this since it will need to be disassembled for shipping. The wood finish is also well worn, but the frame is solid and in good working order.
